I will use this photo of the Crouch End Clock Tower demonstrates a common problem (i.e. shooting under the influence). It can also occur when scanning a print which has not been inserted correctly into the scanner. The Photoshop 'Rotate Canvas Arbitrary' command makes correcting this easy. |

First, select the 'Measure Tool'. You will find it by clicking on the bottom right-hand corner of the Eyedropper tool to reveal the pop-out menu. |

With the measure tool selected, draw a line along a vertical or horizontal edge. I have used the edge of the clock tower, but it could be the edge of a scanned print or the horizon in a landscape. |

Now click Image>Rotate Canvas>Arbritrary or click the 'Rotate Arbitrary' button on my Basic Actions set. The image will be rotated by exactly the correct amount. The colour of the triangles will be the background colour. |

Crop out the triangles to obtain the finished result. |
